In response to the numerous appeals and concerns expressed by health professionals regarding skin lesions caused by the frequent and continuous use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and after listening to several international experts, the Portuguese Wound Treatment Association (APTFeridas) prepared the document “PREPI RECOMMENDATION | COVID19 – Prevention of skin injuries caused by Personal Protective Equipment”, in which it gathers a set of guidelines for the prevention of these injuries, namely: skin breaks, pressure ulcers and friction injuries. Bearing in mind the pertinence and importance of the information contained in this document, we call on all our partners to help us to disseminate it (attached document), so that it can reach the largest number of professionals possible and, thus, assist them also in this combat.
